Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery {organization} + GIVEAWAY

As a working mom, I’m constantly looking for simple ways to organize all the schedules, logs and information I have on hand for my daughter.  From daily activity logs, to the emergency contact information sheet that I leave for all babysitters – there’s a lot of info to keep track of.  I was thrilled to receive a package of organization products from the new Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery line.  I received a sturdy turquoise binder with dividers and plastic binder sheets, a magnetic wipe-off (dry-erase) weekly planner, and a stacking desk drawer accessory.  As you would expect of any Martha Stewart product, they’re all functional and really nice looking.

The binder is my favorite of the items, as it has replaced the stacks of papers on my counter, and neatly organizes all the aforementioned schedules, logs and other information that I had laying around.  The binder is really lovely – the turquoise is a neutral color, the cover is super sturdy and sophisticated (with a faux crocodile texture), the rings easily open with one hand (perfect for when you are holding your little one in your arms), and the accessories (dividers, plastic sheet covers, etc.) provide a place for every last piece of paper.  I find the four-pocket sheet protectors especially useful for organizing all the little things, like punch cards for drop-in music classes and party invitations that I need to be reminded of.

 

The stacking drawer and tray (the “stack+fit“) has organized the pile of mail, keys, lip glosses, sunglasses, shoehorns and other assorted items that used to clutter my entryway table.  The drawer is large enough to hold a substantial amount of stuff and keeps it neatly out of sight.

The weekly planner has also been really handy for meal planning.  It’s helped me organize my cooking schedule for the week and simplified the process.  The dry-erase aspect is a nice eco-friendly alternative to printing and pitching paper, and the magnetized back conveniently sticks to the side of a refrigerator or file cabinet.
